Products and Services

QWED invented and commercially develops electromagnetic software packages of the QuickWave software for electromagnetic design and simulations, based on the conformal FDTD method and applied to electromagnetic research and industrial design.

QWED manufactures several types of resonators (also referred to as test fixtures) for precise measurements of electromagnetic properties of materials at microwave frequencies. Each resonator is equipped with specialised software for extracting the relevant data (typically, complex permittivity or real permittivity and loss tangent) from measurements.

QWED offers a wide range of electromagnetic consulting services. Years of experience in supporting our customers in a wide variety of EM applications made us the right people to support you at any stage of a design cycle of your device. Our consulting engineers will help you to optimise and improve your early stage device or provide you with a full EM consulting service consisting of a whole design cycle - from an idea to a device.
QuickWave
Software for electromagnetic design and simulations based on conformal FDTD method.

QuickWave is a general-purpose electromagnetic simulator based on the conformal FDTD method and supplemented with a range of unique models for curved boundaries, media interfaces, modal excitation, and parameter extraction. It has a well-established position on the world’s market due to approaching specific, challenging problems (often bound to QWED’s specialists participation in the customer’s projects as consultants). That kind of approach causes that QuickWave has a very broad variety of information which can be extracted from the simulations in a form of different pre-processings, co-processings and post-processings.
Resonators
Several types of dielectric resonators for precise measurements of electromagnetic properties of materials at microwave frequencies.

Split post dielectric resonators (SPDR) are intended for the measurements of the complex permittivity of laminar dielectric materials including LTCC substrates and also thin ferroelectric films deposited on low loss dielectric substrates.

Single post dielectric resonators (SiPDR) are intended for the measurements of the surface impedance of metamaterials and resistive films as well as for the contact-less measurements of the conductivity of semiconductor wafers.

TE01δ mode dielectric resonator technique is intended for very precise complex permittivity measurements of bulk low loss disc or cylinder shape dielectric ceramics.

Resonators for graphene measurements specifically designed for the measurements of electrical properties of graphene deposited on small 10 mm x 10 mm dielectric substrates at microwave frequencies (around 13 GHz).
A novel type of a Fabry-Perot open resonator (FPOR) with Gaussian mirrors for automated broadband and precise resonant measurements of electromagnetic properties of low-loss dielectric sheets in the 20-110 GHz frequency range.
Microwave Q-Meter
An inexpensive computer controlled microwave oscillator system that enables quick and automatic measurements with a dedicated SPDR and SiPDR.

Microwave Frequency Q-Meter for quick and automatic measurements with a dedicated SPDR and SiPDR resonators. Dedicated, user friendly and highly configurable application allows controlling measurement process and enables easy management of the measurements results.
