13. Scaling of pulses and monitoring power available from the source
In earlier versions of QuickWave software, precise scaling of sinusoidal and delta sources was provided, with 1W of time-maximum of power available at the excitation frequency and wide-band, respectively. In version 6.0 this has been extended to other excitation waveforms. With unity amplitude, all pulses provide 1W of time-maximum available power at the centre frequency; increasing the amplitude by a factor of A increases the power by A2.
Additionally, a new FD-Pavailable postprocessing has been added. It performs Fourier transform of the excitation signal and allows displaying the available power versus frequency. Examples of application are given in Section UG 2.13.3.
