Two new regimes for more adequate microwave heating analysis have been implemented in version 6.5: automatic tuning of source frequency to the deepest resonance in the considered frequency band (resonant frequency changes at each heating step due to the change of media parameters) and a combined regime of automatic load rotation and source tuning. Please refer to Section BHM 6 for details of implementation and use.
QW-BHM users will certainly enjoy new automatic generation of complicated heating tasker files by QW-Editor. In version 6.0, such a file could be generated for load rotation modelling. The Rotation and Heating Details dialogue allowed specifying rotation parameters (axis, speed) and tasker times (first and consecutive EM steady states, total heating time and heating pattern construction). Now this option is extended as follows: a) For sinusoidal excitation and load rotation, the “rotation” tasker file is created as in version 6.0, b) For sinusoidal excitation and no rotation, the tasker times are set as above, and additionally the number of heating steps. An appropriate tasker file with a sequence of Modify_Media_Parameters tasks, but no rotation, is generated. c) For pulse excitation and no rotation, the same time parameters are set as in case b). The tasker file includes additional commands for finding a new resonance after each heating steps and changing the source frequency accordingly. d) For pulse excitation and load rotation, the tasker file includes commands of cases a) and c) in appropriate sequence.
Additionally, previous restriction on joint use of load rotation with Freeze function has been alleviated in version 6.5.
